Featured High Note Trumpeter :
It is not so famous in Japan, this man's high note is wonderful. This album for which it competed with the U.S. air force band called "Airforce Airmen of Note" is my first recommendation. As far as I know, his leader release is only these three albums. I only heard his sound once and have bought three albums immediately. If you are a high note maniac, please hear this by all means.
Flying High : Vaughn Nark & Airforce Airmen of Note
In the 1st track it begins from high notes suddenly, and After that, he performs like "Maynard Ferguson" and "Arturo Sandoval" using phrases good at them. It is very interesting. And the back band (Air Force Band) is quite also skillfull. In the 7th track, Although "Night Clouds" is difficult music, it is performed wonderfully. The last bonus track named "My Funny Valentine" is only live recording and it is dynamic !

In the 1st track, the opening sounds begins from high notes too. After his performing a cappella using high notes calmly, the music changes rise tempo. The title is "Softly As In A Mornig Sunrise". Moreover, it seems that he respects "Dizzy Gillespie", this CD contains two music ("Fiesta Mojo" and "Tanga") composed by him. In the 7th track named "Impressions", He is continuing blowing wonderfully to the last in the fine phrase of the high notes at quick tempo.

Panorama: Trumpet Prism : Vaughn Nark
It is one good CD which can enjoy the composition of an album the first half. The high note was blown in the second half at slow tempo like a rest. With the following music, it begins from a high note suddenly and tempo is slow, but the beat is hot. and the sound blown just for a moment is a high note too. Having waited the second half is the 7th music. It begins from an a cappella solo in "Over the Raibow". 8th music "Europe" moves to tears and it is superior. The 9th music blows a high note at up tempo. And it is connected with the 10th music "America". And it is wonderful music.
